Bar Americano

From the guys who brought you Der Raum their newsiest venture is located in Presgrave Place; one of those you have to know where to look lane ways.  Don’t let the dumpsters deter.  Bar Americano is bound to be Melbourne’s newest in the know cocktail hot spot.

Think Italian neighbourhood cocktail haven.  Beer is not on the menu and wine allows only two choices – one white, one red.   Clearly the focus is on cocktails. Oozing with charm and personality and soon to be more popular than the small space will allow.  Standing room for about 14, great cocktails, strong coffee and simple snacks.  This is just the right spot for a coffee in the morning or cocktail in the afternoon/evening and an intimate chat.  Currently open morning to night with a 1am licence on the way.  One of the best martinis I have had in a long time.  I will be back again and again.  Worth the effort to find.  Another great reason Melbourne is the best place in the world to live.
